Outdoor Activities for All Seasons
The Governor's Inn is surrounded by the Black River, Okemo Mountain, five lakes, and all of Vermont -- the perfect
setting to enjoy the outdoors.
Summer visitors enjoy cycling, fishing, tennis and golf. Hike the Healdville
Trail up the west side of Okemo Mountain to the fire tower for a
spectacular view of the Okemo Valley. Stroll across the
village green to the Black River Academy -- our area museum -- to learn about the
history of Ludlow. Picnic at nearby Buttermilk Falls. Fall foliage
seekers find time for hiking, horseback riding and hayrides.
Winter weather lovers go ice skating, sledding, snowmobiling, tubing, and
sleigh riding -- and skiers at the Governor's Inn are just steps away from a shuttle that runs directly to the base lodge of Okemo Mountain.

Come Inside
Ludlow and its surrounding communities have much to offer indoors as well.
Step back in time with local blacksmiths, glassblowers, furniture
makers, quilters and candle crafters. Sample the wares from cheese
factories, brewpubs and wineries, or take home a memory of Vermont's
country charm from an antique market or general store. Visit art
galleries and museums or marvel at Vermont's many historical homesteads.
The Governor's Inn has an extensive collection of brochures from local
businesses. We will be happy to assist you in finding the perfect
location for your favorite pastime.
