AND take a 2-1/2 hour Weekday Cooking Class one morning, or come for a weekend Culinary Magic Cooking Seminar.
Weekday cooking classes are targeted for beginners, although any culinary enthusiast is welcome to attend. Participants will prepare two fool-proof entrees, their side dishes, and a delicious dessert. Then you will sit down and enjoy the meal you have just created. Chef Cathy has specifically chosen dishes to illustrate certain basic culinary techniques. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to get cooking advice from a professional!
Class begins at 10:30 a.m. Also includes souvenir Governor's Inn apron.
Fee: $75/single, $99/couple. Register when you make your reservation, either by phone or online from our website.
Weekend Culinary Magic Seminars can be arranged for groups of up to four persons. Just get together a group of friends and schedule your own private seminar.
Weekend seminars are especially tailored for persons with busy schedules who may not have a lot of time
to spend cooking at home. Participants will learn simple techniques that will produce elegant, gourmet dishes fit for the
most discriminating guests. The chef can offer you several suggestions for a theme (basic, intermediate or advanced levels,) or you can help design your own seminar, based on your specific interests.
The weekend seminar includes a multi-course dinner for four on Friday evening (including wine), and a three hour cooking class on Saturday morning, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The seminar will conclude with a tasting luncheon at 1:00 p.m., where participants will sit down to enjoy the dishes they have just created.
Fee is $500 for a group of 4 ($125 per person). Cost of your rooms is not included.
Please Note: Smaller groups can be accommodated; however, the total cost of the seminar is still $500. For example, if there are three participants instead of four, the cost per person becomes $166.67.
To schedule this unique experience, please speak with the inn's chef (Cathy) at 800-468-3766. Space is limited, and seminars must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance of your arrival. 50% deposit is required at the time you reserve your space. Subject to the inn's standard cancellation policy.
Note: All classes will offer a considerable amount of "hands-on" time. There are SOME demonstrations, but also lots of opportunity to
try techniques yourself with the chef there
to guide you.
